When someone asks a question, not bothering to add details and then blasts everyone that is trying to help? I am sure most people would have answered very differently had the asker included the proper information.

Gotta love it! Common sense seems to elude a lot of people.

People only want help if it agrees with what they are already doing.
If it makes them look stupid or look like they are clueless they no longer want help. They only want if it makes them look good.
If not you are an idiot for suggesting anything of the sort.
Everything is in the details.
That is why I when I go to do behavioral consultations I go into the home and see first hand what is going on.
Some can be done over the phone but it is far easier to "see" what is happening than be told what is going on.
Most things are easy fixes. But it is far harder to teach the person to something different. The dogs are always the easy part of the problem.

holy crap i can't agree more. they want specific information for non-specific things. that said i posted a question and didn't want to make it too lenghty. I gave some pretty specific details, but there was some important stuff i left out as i soon found. It is easy to quickly add some additional details, but by then i wasn't gettin any more answers. It was all good though as it did what it was supposed to and had me thinkin at things from a different angle.

good post, would give ya a thumbs up but i ain't there yet. tc

If it is ambiguous in any way, I tell the person that wrote the question wrong. It helps prevent the blasts for your trying to help.

I love it so much I skip most of those questions.

Life is in the details, don't you agree?

Best wishes and thanks for a smile.
