Is emailing a girl expressing feelings and talking to her friends about her considered stalking. I know this girl, but I am just shy around her. I am not sure, but I don't want to be a stalker. How could I find out if she thinks that and how do I resolve the problem. I'm just confused bc I heard a joke from another friend and I don't know where it originated.

It's ok to ask her friends and email her, as long as you're not doing it obsessively. If she tells you she's not interested, you have to let it rest. Consider the frequency of your emails. Are you calling her friends at home, or just asking them when you see them? Are you chasing her friends around trying to get info out of them? Do you follow her? Being shy is ok. Being obsessed is another.

If the girl doesn't really like you she might considered you as a stalker...but what you are doing untill now it's not considered a stalker (A person who follows another obsessively (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalker))
Stalking==>By extension stalking is a legal term for repeated harassment of a person so as to cause fear in the target, as if they are being hunted(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalking_%28disambiguation%29)
I don't think you are doing any of this..but what you should do is just take a courage and talk to the girl...if you keep doing what you are doing now she might think you are weird....

Why don't you just talk to her instead of her friends. It has to be a real turn-off for a girl when a guy talks to everyone but her. What are you afraid of? The very worst she can say is no. I'm sure you've heard that before. Get over it and go for the girl. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, mate. Grow a pair and go get the girl you want!

It depends how often you email her. If its 50 times a day then yes that would make you a stalker!
Also, has she already told you shes not interested? If you persist on asking when shes said no then that would make you a stalker as well.
But....if is the odd email to a friend and she hasnt told you to stop I cant see a problem.

Man, You just gotta get up the nerve to talk to her. If you contiue to persure her from far away she may very well think you ARE a stalker. It's not hard, just go up to her and say hi, then start a conversation about the weather or somethiing. Remember the teachings of Wayne & Garth "If you hurl and she bails it was never meant to be but if you blow chunks and she stays it must be true love." Excellent.

Well you are not a stalker. but if you want to clarify this...you have to be aware that you might loose...maybe she will not like you. However...the best way is to confront her...tell her that you don't want to be a jerk, by t alking all around about her...but you want to express your feelings...and you will get the answer. If she doesn't like you and you bother her over and over then you will be a stalker, and I'm pretty sure tht you don't wanna do that.

If they've already hit joke stage then you'd better get a grip and go talk to her. Just say you were embarrassed to and that you only ment to email as an "annonomous" way to get to know her not to be offensive. I as a woman wouldn't like that at all- I would feel stalked just because I would assume the guy is wierd not to ask me to coffee or lunch to get to know me in a public, open forum (which keeps a girl at ease) its not a date and she can say no if you ask her on one later- go get to know her- just because computers exist don't mean that the world has changed-TALK to her!Good Luck!

I wouldn't say you are a stalker since you aren't parked outside of her house or watching her from a distance to see what she's doing. Sounds like you're getting the low down on her. At worst you're obsessed with her. Best bet is to talk to her face to face. If she's getting creeped out back off.

Don't ask anyone anything about her! If you do you will be demonstrating stalker tendencies which will be bad for everyone. Ignore her and she might come around, but if you are too shy to talk to her directly anything you do behind her back is creepy.

Talk to the girl, maybe she likes you too. It doesn't sound like you're a stalker but a little obsessed, yes. That can be bad.
