This varies from state to state, I need more information to answer this correctly. You should check with your local police station about the laws where you live and or where you plan on carrying the gun.

It depends on the state. Here in NH, anyone can carry a gun, but a permit is required for a concealed weapon.

If you have a CCW, you should have been given a book with all the rules, regulations, and restriction on when and where you can , and cannot carry the gun.
