I think for the most part people are just tired of hearing it. There are many other religions out there and Christians think that there is no other way to believe. Their way is the only way..not true. We are all sick of the self righteous people that think that they have discovered the truths to the universe and what is to become of the human race. We don't get bothered so much by you mentioning the name of Jesus, I think that at this point most people are just tired of having the name shoved down their throats. If Christianity is your faith...good for you. But realize that there are many different faiths, all believing that they are the right one......even the Terrorists that have bombed in the name of Allah...their faith is strong...that doesn't make them right.

It doesn't bother non-Christians, it bothers Anti-Christians. I am Pagan, and frequently talk about Jesus with friends. What does bother us, is when the talks about Jesus turns into a recruiting seminar, and the next thing we know Scripture is being spouted, damning us to eternal hell.
I love Jesus, I think he was a cool prophet, and an amazing healer. Do I accept as my Savior? Nope. But it does not bother me a bit to hear his name.
Most of the time that I hear his name is taken in vain anyway, usually by Christians.

His name doesn't bother me at all unless it's used during a public prayer as in "...in Jesus' name we pray." For many of us, it is blasphemy to pray through an idol. Why not pray directly to God? Ignorant Christians can be excused, but many educated Christians use it deliberately as just another way to impose Christianity on everyone.

I am muslim, and I am not bothered at all when I hear someone says Jesus, coz for me Jesus or Essa is a noble prophet which God sent to the humanity with the Bible to guide them to his way, He is a miracle in the way he was born, the way he was picked up to the heavens, and the way he will come again.I love him,I love his mother virigin Mary..PBUH(Peace Be Upon Him)...
Peace be with you...

Why does it bother Christians so much when you mention the Goddess by any of Her names? Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate, Demeter, Kali, Inanna?
Or the God's myriad names? Pan, Cernunnos, Sylvanus, Tammuz, Shiva, Min?
Frankly, it doesn't "bother" me when someone says "I believe in Jesus", but it does "bother" me when someone says to me "YOU need Jesus in your life", in the same way that it would bother YOU if I said "YOU need Ishtar in your life"

It is so OKAY!
We do believe in Jesus (PBUH) as a prophet and a messenegr of God as well, but we only follow Mohammed (PBUH) cus other religions were changed as people's mood, except Islam as God promised to keep it safe as it will be the last religion, sent to all the human beings.

If non Christians say Christ it is taking the Lords name in vain. They are not in the CLUB.

Many of them understand WHO HE IS and yet do not want to be bothered by HIS COMMANDS. HE has given us a set of instructions in the New Testament. These are to be followed whether we want to do so or not. In the end, GOD will judge. We can only hope that some will change their stance. Read, study, and obey HIS WORD. Have a great day!
