They only breed in summer. A pair of flies beginning operations in April may be producers, if all were to live, of 191,010,000,000,000,000,000 flies by August (approx 19 x 10^19)
After a bit of research it seems Flies mass between 1 & 2 grams.
Going for 1.5 grams we get about 3 x 10^17 kg.
Total mass of Humans is about 3 x 10^11 kg, so that's about a million times more Flies (by weight) than the entire Human population ..

there wouldn't be too many, a flies life cycle is what keeps them down not predators.
if they could live for 50 years I think you'd have a whole shitload of flies
