Mine always has to come over the top, and if I am in someone's bathroom and it is the other way, I change it, even if I am in there just to wash up.

I was the same way. I always had to have it comming over the top. Its more accessible. I don't know how many darn times I changed it at my in-laws house before they told me that they have it come from the bottom so that it the kittens start turning the roll, it wont all come loose.

I like to put it so that it rolls from under the back, that way in the middle of the night when I'm half asleep it will just fall out for me to tear a piece, but my fiance' likes to have it roll forward from the top, and thats when I have to scratch at it to find the end so I just gave up grrrrrrrrrr

At my house it is over the top and sometimes when company comes I fold it with a point in the center of the first sheet because I saw it at a hotel once and I liked it. At my mom's I switch it to the back because I know it irritates her. Good luck.

Over top looks nicer and is more accessible. I like to turn the roll around also and then fold the first sheet so it comes to a point like at the hotels.

This is a teriffic question to ask, and it sounds like you are very concerned for using the delicate toilet paper, as for me,
if I gotta go, I'll just yank the paper either way it comes out.

I'm kinda compulsive that way myself!
Over the top, but only if there's no toddler in the house!!!
(They learn quickly how to 'slap' it all over the floor!)
