Does anyone know how many hours it would take to fly from New York to Rio in Brazil? Thanks.

The shortest is :12.55min
JFK > GIG
GIG > JFK American Airlines 9:30p
8:25p 12:55p

The problem is that they are no direct flights to Rio.
All of them change in Sao Paulo

Varig to Sao Paulo stopping at Miami, 12 - 13 hours but they are two hours ahead of New York. Been there Done that. Varig flies old planes that shake and rattle like a '63 Ford Valiant. I think if you are brave enough to fly in one of those planes for 13 hours, going up to Sugarloaf Mountain in a swaying cable car is a piece of cake.
