We've been dating for almost a year. I am head over heels in love- he is very reserved and it takes a small miracle to get him to open up to me. Any thoughts? Words of wisdom?

If you have to get someone to fall in love with you then you don't need that person. If you make someone fall in love it's a false love and not from the heart and it will only end up with a break up or worse.

Love should be totally natural and shouldn't be forced.

You can't get a guy to fall in love with you. It just happens. After a year, it is possible that he loves you but doesn't like expressing his feelings. A lot of guys are like that. My boyfriend hates talking about his feelings, it hard to get him to open up. He actually opens up more when he's drunk....lol Ok I'm not telling you to get him drunk, but talk to him, tell him you want him to share his feelings more. Tell him how you feel maybe if he hears how crazy you are about him, he will feel more comfortable sharing.

Maybe he is very shy? Does he do things/activities that make you smile? Does he always make time to spend the day with you? Does he fancy or compliment you?

Some guys prefer to express their love in non-verbal ways.

You cannot make a guy fall in love with you. Either you're moving too quickly, or he's just a type of guy who likes to adapt on his own terms. Give it time, don't crowd him.

Yes, get used to it now because he's not going to change. If you can't get used to it, find a new guy.

Try cooking him an "home cooked" meal.
