There are three best looking planes:

Concorde

Tornado

Harrier

Why these THREE - coz they are all NON YANK PLANES that they couldn't build!

In WWll warplane category - The SPITFIRE - good looks and the sound of those engines flying past - Grrrrrrrrt British plane!

Concorde I agree is probably no 1. But I saw some Phantoms in Thailand that looked good. Also the English Electric fighter, I've forgotten the name, it was the fastest of it's age.

Has to be Concorde. I remember its maiden voyage to Bahrain. We stood clinging to the runway fencing watching this amazing bird of prey swoop down out of the sky, its beak pointed down as if it was going to tear the runway apart.
With the radiant heat from the engines and the tarmac it almost seemed as if its wings were actually flapping a little.
Magical, nothing to beat it. For the longest time I used to run out of my house into the courtyard to watch it swooping down on the nearby airport.
It has never lost its magic for me!
Most fun was the 747 when it first flew! It kind of looked like a puffed up Robin that had sat in some paint!

As a Brit, I'd have to say Spitfire ( of course) although the Mitsubishi Ki-46 Dinah may qualify for this too, in may eyes.

I'd agree that Concorde was beautiful though.

and what about the F-104 starfighter?

Concord or the Spitfire, and an honorable mention to the Blackbird (U2?) Gary Powers plane.

The RAF Vulcan and the USAF Blackbird were beautiful planes, but I agree with you. Concorde was/is by far the best!

The XB-70. There's one-[the only one-] at the USAF Museum in Dayton OH . The aircraft is much better looking than the Concorde
