I was talking to a friend about being stay at home parents, we're both the lower earning partner in our relationships, and would both like to be that person, he's a guy, and I was thinking it's nice that you can choose who stays at home now, but if my hubby stayed we'd prob have to collect housing benefit or whatever in order to survive- I was just wondering whether this was ok, or whether they would force the higher earner to go back to work if it was the difference between benefits or none!! Just a hypothetical!

I should point out that I am not even trying to get pregnant, let alone staying at home, this question is and will always be hypothetical as he would hate to stay home all week!! Just a bit of a silly thought I thought I'ld ask ya'll's opinion on!
