One of my friends told me guys think I am easy because I smoke cigarettes...she is referring to the saying....

that guys use "if she smokes, she pokes".... is the how guys look at a woman who smokes cigarettes?

I'm a woman and a smoker. I can believe that some people think it. So what? They'll realise they're wrong soon enough when they get told where to go.

There might be something to that. Because, a girl who smokes is generally rebelling, or throws caution to the wind, and is probably not so much a "goody two shoes".

However, that does not mean that girls who DON'T smoke are not "easy". It just means perhaps it's harder to tell, you don't know whether it's because she is a goody goody or because she has asthma or something.

But it's still a dumb generalization, However, again, there might be something to it since smoking usually goes with drinking, drinking many times goes with being in sexual situations, etc.

Cigarettes make you appear to have no control over your urges. Men see this as an easy mark. I think you will find that men who smoke don't care and men who Don't Smoke, won't date a woman who smokes. Smoking is no longer the 'allure' it had in the 50's and 60's.

I'm a man, and I would never date a women who smokes. They stink of smoke and ash and never have money because they HAVE to afford their smokes.

I have heard that saying before, but Im not sure if thats how guys think or not. My guy friends all say that they would never even kiss a girl who smokes because it is a turn off.

For some people, smoking still carries that sort of "bad girl/rebel" connotation. Some guys may think that if you don't care what people say (in regards to smoking), that you don't care what they say in regards to sex, drugs, etc. It's a stereotype, and like many stereotypes, it's often not true.

It is more than likely an oral thing. You smoke with your mouth and this draws attention to you sucking on something over and over again. I used to smoke and I don't recall ever hearing anything like that. I hope you quit smoking and I hope my answer helped. Good Luck.

Not all true. The fact that you smoke just makes it seem like you like to party, and party girls are easier than non-party girls, cause they like to have fun. It's just a stereotype. Smoking is a nasty habit, so she is probably just trying to give you a reason to quit.

I have heard that women who smoke have low self esteem and are more insecure about themselves. Which would lead someone to believe that they are easier to get into bed. I have heard that saying before and I know it's not true, but there's a reason we (yeah, I said we..I'm a smoker too) hide behind our cigarettes, especially in social situations.

HAHA. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Alot of my girlfriends and I smoke. And we are NOT easy. Nor do we "poke".
