You've got it all wrong. Lucifer was the name given to the planet Venus, visible as the Morning Star. The name was in use at the time of the KJV translation (and was used in the earlier Geneva translation with footnotes explaining this).
Basically, King Nebuchadnezzar was compared to the Morning Star falling from heaven, which was named Lucifer (Latin - lit. Light Bearer/Bringer) in these versions. While the Geneva had a footnote explaining the connection, the KJV did not and was mistaken for a reference to Satan due to the similarity to his fall.
So, Lucifer is simply a name for the Morning Star, it goes no further than that.

I've certainly heard that people don't know the difference between Lucifer and Satan, but I have never heard of the rest of what you wrote. Lucifer and Satan are two different entities and there are many more powerful demonic spirits including Beelzebulb and Allida and the like. People can be misslead by thought rather than by getting the facts. There are three seperate but equal qualities or persons in one God. God is not a physical body, but a spiritual being capable of having 3 seperate qualities: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Historically, Lucifer was a minor god in pre-Christian Roman mythology. He was the god of the morning star. He was not evil. But eventually the Church used verses from the Book of Isaiah to make a connection between Lucifer and Satan. In the 12th verse of Chapter 14 is an attempt to link the morning star with the King of Babylon, which the Hebrews saw as evil. In the Hebrew version the phrase for morning star in this verse uses the words (in Hebrew, obviously) "Helel ben-shahar" which means "bright/light son of the morning". The King James version of the Bible replaces that phrase with Lucifer instead.

Your God is limited. Mine isn't. Lucifer most certainly refers to Satan. Chris quoted you Isaiah 14:12, the Bible has layers. Anyone who reads and studies it knows that is a fact. Thus Isaiah uses that fall of Satan, which is an assumed fact, to illustrate the fall of the Babylonian King. The name Lucifer is actually the Latin designation for the morning star (Light-bearer)
The Hebrew (helel) means the "bright one." As the morning star speedily disappears before the rising sun, so Satan, the angel of light, will be banished to outer darkness by the coming of the Son of God.
King Nebuchadnezzar tried to put himself above God and God made him eat grass like an ox without his sanity. God gives his glory to no one.
Satan (Lucifer) was originally created as one of God's highest angels, possessing all angelic attributes. Satan (adversary) led angels in a rebellion. Satan is the originator of sin, the wicked one, a thief and destroyer, a DECEIVER, murderer and liar and accuser of the believers in Christ Jesus our Lord, the One and only True God.
Lucifer is the devil and the GREAT DECEIVER.

Lucifer is not even mentioned in the most modern translations of the Bible, and is mentioned only once in the King James version Isaiah 14:12 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!", connecting the name with Satan.

Dear fallen Angel, Obviously niether one has ever picked up a Bible. The BIble does state that Lucifer was once an angel and that he rebelled against God and he was sent out of heaven to wonder to and fro throught the earth and cause destruction and pain. Lucifer and satan are both the same, they are two differebnt names given to the same being, the most original name being beezelbub. never the less, he is dangerous and is looking for thos whom he may devour. The Bible says sin is transgression of his law (ten Commandments). every time we lie and steal and look with lust ect, we sin against God, and though he designed Hell for satan and his angels, those found guilty on the day of Judgement will also Join satan in hell. The good news for us Humans, is that christ suffered and died on the cross for our sins, we broke the Law and Jesus paid our fine and if we will repent (turn from sin) and trust in Jesus, God will forgive us and grant us the gift of everlasting life. I hope nothing will stop you from repenting and trusting in the savior.
God Bless

I will pray for you. Following Lucifer(satan) and making him your god is the surest way to end up in hell. But there is hope for you. Through our Lord and Savior who is Jesus Christ. Read the new testament of the bible. There you will learn about Jesus and who he is. Ask him to forgive you of your sins and to come into your heart. It is then that you can start a relationship with him and be assured of everlasting life with him in heaven.

Basically, because Scriptures say so. The Highest angel (the covering Cherub, who was closest to the Almighty) became proud, and attempted to exalt himself, and so he was cast out of heaven (to earth) and became the adversary to truth, righteousness and the Messiah.(Satan means adversary) The Messiah's name is spelled yod he vav shin ein. It is the same name as the man who fought the battle of Jericho. (normally transliterated Joshua). However, there was no "J" until about 1500 A.D. So how did it happen that both the Creator's "name" and the Savior's "name' start with a "J"? Clearly an enemy has done this. The Savior's name MEANS YHVH is my salvation. What does "Jesus" mean? (hail Zeus?)

Woah!!!! Slow down there. Lucifer in not Jesus, he is the fallen Angel that got kicked out of heaven. That's why we believe that he is Satan. Besides the Bible refers to him as Satan too. Where in the Bible does it imply that Lucifer is Jesus?

If you have any belief in the bible, it says Lucifer was cast out of Heaven and is one and the same that we know better as Satan. God said it, I believe it.
