what is the best way to heal a broken heart? It's not broken by a guy but by the most important family member who had to leave this country.
So, any good suggestions?

Broken hearts can take a while to heal and it's different for everyone.
Be good to yourself right now and try not to push yourself too hard. Do things that you enjoy, even little things, to lift your mood a bit. Find support from loved ones or close friends; talk to them about how you're feeling. Allow yourself to feel sad, even cry, because this can be helpful in healing. Write down how you're feeling in a journal or find some creative outlet for your sorrow such as drawing or dancing. Keep in touch with this family member as much as possible if you can and remember that they're still with you, in your heart.

Take care and be good to yourself.

Unfortunately there is no miracle cure for a broken heart. You can keep in touch with your family member, write letters, phone calls, etc. If in the event you can't lets say they are in the military like my husband, it can be incredibly difficult on deployments where you cant get in touch with them. I found that writing letters and saving them until you meet again is a good way to go. Also keep yourself busy, take up a new hobby. Dont forget to validate and comfort those who you also have in your life now. Dont go for the ice cream and tears, go for the walk and a movie....Hope this helps! Best Wishes

When I was a kid my favorite horse collapsed and died, my Dad knew my heart was crushed. I moped around for days and then in my parent's despair they took me to an amusement park and put me on my first roller coaster ride. I was so exhilarated and so rushed by that experience all I could do was concentrate on my next ride and intermittently I remembered my horse was gone forever. Time passed and all I had left of the horse was the fond memories and not the tragic loss. My Dad's psychology worked for me, an 11 year old girl, I don't know if it will work for you but this was my experience and it was most tragic to me. I say to gather by your friends and family and look for a "roller coaster ride". Good Luck to you.

I don't know whom you're referring to, but it sounds so very, very sad. I too have had a "broken heart!" I would say only time will help. Pray, pray, pray. And know that others feel your pain.
