because there are already signs that shows that it is close...although most people believe that it's something not to even realize as a real matter. Just like the story about the "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", when none believed the boy so the worst was yet to come....

Well the end is comming soon. We are closer and closer everyday. However, if the end is not until 20,000 years this would be considered "soon" in God's eyes or if it was before you choose best answer for you question.

Most people who "predict" that they "apocalypse" is coming soon comes out of a misinterpretation of Scripture. They will use the books of Revelation and Daniel to try to determine if there are "signs" of the end times. However, these books are not in our Bibles for this purpose. The Bible CLEARLY teaches that we will not no the day nor the hour. Jesus does speak of some signs of his second coming, but they are very difficult to interpret and any application to modern day events are a stab in the dark at best. I wish people would be more modest theologians.

Revelation and Daniel do have some of the same "images." This is because they both are part of an ancient literary genre known as apocalyptic literature. This literature was used to tell about EVENTS that mostly had ALREADY happened and describe the cosmological and theological significance of these events. Daniel, especially, was probably written after those events had actually occured.
Revelation when understood in context (1st cent.) applied to their time and the problems they were facing with the Roman Emperor Worship Occult. Most of what is spoke of in Revelation has already occured. Though of course things like the "new heaven" and the "new earth" still have yet to come to fruition. The main point of Revelation is to teach the Christians to overcome and stand in their faith and not fall into Emperor Worship from Rome. (Rome = Babylon)

Israel become a nation again in 1948, which was prophecied to happen before the trbulation, so all the end time predictions before that were just ignorant. It's suppose to start during the generation of Israel becoming a nation again, and a biblical generation is 70 years, so we have until 2018 for the trib to start. You can already see other predictions coming true, besides the wars and rumors of wars, which we've always seen, such as the great falling away, which you can see very clearly here on YA, with all the atheists insulting us on a regular basis. The increase in natural disasters, strange weather, etc., all signs. Give it a few more years and it'll be too obvious for anyone with half a brain to miss.

Just read in the book of Revelations. The four horsemen, not being able to tell the seasons apart and everything else that it says. If you believe in the Bible and if you take a long hard look at what the world has become I would have to say YES Judgment day will be here and I think that it will happen much sooner then we may think. There is still much turmoil for the world to go through, like another persecution of the Jews, the persecution of true followers of God/Jesus and more world suffering. The only thing that one can hope for is that they are right with God and willing to stand true in what they believe, these will be the ones that go home first.

Yes Jesus is coming soon. Alot of people think because this message is over 2000 years, so its not going to happen.

WRONG!!! Even peter predicted this kind of sense of false security and gave an equally 2000 years old caution.

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation... But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance "

Well the long prophecied appearance of Israel as a nation after 2000 years is reason enough to see the end is near. It's an amazing and frightening time to live. Yes we are entering a time predicted in the Bible. Don't be afraid though. God is in control.

Yes. Definitely. If you read the Bible's prophecies about what would be going on in the "Last Days", we're smack in the middle of it. Actually we're on the tail end of it.

Matthew 24 (the entire chapter)
1 Tim. 3:1-5

The prophecies include those by the Apostle Peter who said that the majority of people would just go about their business, ignoring the warnings. It was the same in Noah's day.

lets see....Jesus said we should look for some things to happen and when we see these things we will know that it is near. He said there will be wars and rumors of wars....check. He said that there will be roaring and tossing of the sea....check. He said that there will be great earthquakes....check He said that there will be famine....check. He said that Christians will be persecuted....the religion and spirtuality section of Yahoo Answers proves that this is happening. I'd say that things seem to be lining up. No man knows the day or the hour He will come again but like the changing of the seasons we see the signs.

The next big event on God's calendar is the 2nd coming of Christ. However, we are not to set dates and get all weird about this. Live your life like you will live to be an old person but watch with eagerness for the coming of the Lord. Please don't listen to folks who set dates, only God the Father knows the time. God Bless
