Have loved coffee all my life, but, it caused stomach pains off and on, so I would drink, give it up, drink some more, etc., finally after vomiting brown blood and having excruiating pain from a hole in the lining of my stomach, I gave it up. Learned the hard way, don't do it. Once you have that hole, very hard to ever heal it completely.

One coffee-addict to another, I can sympathsize!
Unfortunately, coffee's not a good idea with ulcers. You might want to switch to a good herbal tea for a while.
Good luck!

Coffee contains a lot of acid in it, so you should refrain from drinking it. Talk to your doctor to see if there is a substitute you can try.

coffee has alot of acids in it, those with ulcers should avoid it.
If you must have a cup, suggest you drink two ounces of antacid, like Mylanta or Maalox before you drink it.
