I had a script from the doc for three months - will I have trouble when the script runs out?
It doesn't really work anymore, but I still took it as prescribed, and I am now worried about withdraw.
I prefer not to take it anymore (insurance ran out)

Ultram is NOT morphine & opium. It's in your head more than anything. If U R felling like U R sick, Chocolate malts & sugar is what is used. U should only feel like this for 2=4 days. Ultram is 1 of the weakest pain relievers there is. Hang in there.

Just start cutting dose in half, after a few days in half again etc. then see how you do b/f you go off completely. I would definitely check with the doctor first, best advice, but I don't think Ultram is highly addictive, like Vicoden etc.

Do not stop using this medication suddenly without talking to your doctor. You may need to gradually reduce the dose. Withdrawal symptoms may occur when you stop using Ultram. Withdrawal symptoms include anxiety, sweating, nausea, diarrhea, tremors, chills, hallucinations, trouble sleeping, or breathing problems. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these withdrawal symptoms after you stop using Ultram.
