I'm often afraid to approach girls I don't know, what are some good ways to get them to approach me first?

The good news is that some women don't like to be approached. The bad news is that some women do like to be approached. Your goal as a guy is to be simultaneously approachable and able to approach.

First, with practice you will be less afraid to approach girls you don't know. Your shyness may be a benefit to you, after all it makes you seem sincere instead of another jerk. However, your fear will begin to wane the more you approach girls. And if you approach, what's the worst that could happen? They say no and you move on.

Second, if you want a girl to approach you, you don't want to be hanging around your other guy friends too much - that's an intimidating environment for women to step into. Or if it's an impossibility to escape them, try to be the quiet one. Women dont' like boorish men and we probably won't approach one. Be polite to those around you and women will take notice!

If you wait for them to approach you its going to be a lonely year for you......your making too big of a deal striking up a conversation with a girl. There are a million and one things to talk about none of which are ignorant or inappropriate. What is the worst that can happen they say no...if they are a good girl and have no interest then will subtly let you know in a kind way, if they are bit**y about it then GOOD you don't want to be around a girl like that anyway

Have a few questions in mind to ask. People always enjoy talking. Observe the situation, and look for questions that will start a conversation. The questions should be related to the person, not general. For example, "That's a cute puppy, when did you get him?" "That jacket looks great. Is that your favorite color?"

In the bookstore, there are books on flirting that have lots of good ideas.

just say hi to em. girls are people too only difference is that they have two X's and we have an X and a Y chromozone. just talk to them like you would anyone else. and eventualy if you like her tell her she is attractive by saying something like " you know your realy hot" but say it friendly not like you wanna grope her or anything cuz they find that creepy. i know i would. just be friendly, some girls i know are tired of guys using lines and all that **** its made for tv but in reality most girls arent that shallow to the point where they like being hit on with dumb lines and stupid antics. be friendly and casualy slip in that you think they are pretty or you like them and ask em if they wanna go out sometime. if they enjoy it there is a chance you might get a second date. so in a nutshell NO LINES FLIRT CAUTIOUSLY BE NICE NOT CREEPY AND FOR GOD SAKES DONT TOUCH HER
