Lyme disease is an infection that derives from a tick bite. The disease has a variety of symptoms, including changes affecting the skin, heart, joints and nervous system. It is also known as borrelia or borreliosis

Lyme disease is caused by an infection from a micro-organism (Borrelia burghdor feri), itself transmitted by a bite from the wood tick, a blood-sucking parasite which normally lives on deer.

The wood tick is found in many areas, particularly in forests where deer are common. A tick will settle anywhere on a human body, but prefers warm, moist and dark places like the crotch or armpits.

When the tick has found a suitable place on the body, it sticks in its probe to draw up blood, exposing the host to the risk of infection. also Congenital Lyme disease

Lyme disease can be transmitted from an infected mother to fetus through the placenta during pregnancy, possibly resulting in stillbirth.[11][12] The risk of transmission is minimized if the mother receives prompt antibiotic treatment, though physicians disagree as to the duration of treatment required.

The mother may also pass Lyme disease (and its co-infections) through breast milk. I hope this helped you .

In 2014, a study suggested that Lyme can be transmitted by sex [1]. The CDC still officially denies that Lyme can be transmitted by flies, mosquitoes, fleas or lice [2]. However, the State of Michigan Lyme Disease association says that studies are underway on this topic [3]. Our oldest daughter transmitted Lyme to the rest of our family [4].

basically, yes. It is communicable, but not very contagious. I recently learned that Horseradish seems to be a big help in controlling Lymes. If you eat a couple of leaves a day it seems to help a lot. Do your homework quickly, because the disease is no fun, and the allopathic school of medicine doesn't Have a very good handle on this problem.
