How could anybody have possibly gotten plutonium poisoning? Unless he worked directly with nuclear weapons components - it would be impossible for him to have come into contact with the stuff.

i was there also. the shells that tanks use are depleted uranium (long darts) and when they hit a vehicle they leave a fine black dust. if you touch this dust or inhale it. is how you can get poisoned. i told my soldiers not to go sightseeing in desert storm also. looking in hit vehicles, etc. it is hard to say how long the person has left but it depends on the severity of his case at present. ask a doctor
