Ace mum!- are you my long-lost-but-never-heard-of-sister? My doppelganger? My cuz?(already came across one today so maybe not).
Don't believe the acid stories - that's what your stomach puts out - or the sticking the intestines together c*** - I survived years of chewing gum on New York subways ('cos everyone does it; 'cos it helps you look cool; 'cos it helps your jaw not to sh..shake while you stare out someone with an attitude when you are brave with PMT or post-husband-bawling-out-ANGER etc etc) - so from expeeerience I can say that the only way it is bad for you is in all that goddam-chewing-producing-saliva-followed-by-supposedly-healthy-apple-at-lunch-which-produces-even-more-saliva - you will need to pass gaayz (fart in english) which will result in diverticuli - little pouches in guts which collect all sorts of things (none of which will appear on Antiques Roadshow) and make you extremely uncomfortable at times. So tell your friend to skip the chewing gum. The pavement outside my house will be very grateful too.

Only thing bad about chewing gum is wears your jaw bone without you knowing it. I have tmj so the worst thing for me to do is chew gum

I dont know how true it is but I dont think your body digests chewing gum that well. It it not designed to be eaten.

It doesn't digest, but it doesn't get stuck in your bowel (contrary to the old wives tale). It just makes its merry way back out in time but has no nutritional value so its pointless to eat it.

Don't go chewing in bed, you might wake up with it stuck in your hair.

well it can be dangerous because it can stick your intestines together or get stuck in the stomach or even the esophagus so i would just expain to her why it is bad

who cares its her body, any way it will break down quickly in the stomach but, too much will take longer to digest and eventually she will feel uncomfortable.
