Gee ---I have a feeling that this is not a job for Tic Tac. Have no fear, there are 2 great products for dog's bad breath: Nupro and Digestzymes. Go to your local pet store (Pet Smart is a great store) and try these 2. I think this will do the trick, BUT in case it does not, you should take your dog's breath as a warning sign that something else (other than breath) may be foul: Dog's bad breath is often an indication of periodontal disease (bad teeth); - Gingivitis (infection of the gums); Poor digestion; Stomach or intestinal problems; Kidney or liver disease, or Poor diet. You should take fido for a check-up if the problem continues, as it may be a sign of any of these conditions. Good luck!

Never use toothpaste intended for humans on a dog. They do make a toothpaste for dogs that you could use. Bad breath on dogs sometimes indicate problems. Might be wise to have her checked by a vet.

You should talk to a pet store salesperson (one who knows their stuff), I was told to change my dogs food when she had bad breath, it was caused by an intolerance to something that was in the food I was using which was making it difficult for her to digest and affecting her breath. It's much better now but you should also try brushing your dogs teeth with dog toothpaste, don't use your own.

No human toothpaste!

Doggie bad breath can be one of many health issues that needs to be addressed by your vet, so schedule an appointment. It could be as simple as changing his diet, to getting a dental or something more serious like diabetes, a heart condition, or kidney or liver failure.

you can give her rawhide bones, they help to clean the teeth. or greenies, specially made to clean teeth but a tad expensive and i find normal bones will usually do the trick. if a bone doesnt help you can try to brush your dogs teeth but that doesnt get rid of bad breath perminently. if it smells honestly horrid like rotting fish or rotten eggs, then your dog may have a rotten tooth. check your dogs teeth, a rotten tooth is normally dark in color and its just plain obvious its not healthy. if it is a rotten tooth than you can talk to your vet about getting the tooth pulled.

If your dog is older, you may want to check his teeth for gum disease. There are people that will professionally brush your dog's teeth, or if you can do a good job, go to your vet, or pet store and get a tooth brush and paste for dogs. I got some for my dog in beef flavor.

Nooo, you don't give a dog toothpaste, you weirdo!

Oddly enough, they actually have dog breath mints now...I just can't remember what the actual name of it is. Look it up in a search engine, they have then next to the cashiers station in stores with all the other gums, candies and mints.

Try giving her "Greenies" - they help with breath.

If it persists, you may need to take her to the vet to see if her teeth are alright. My dog had really bad breath due to rotting teeth. Now that they have been extracted, her breath is MUCH better... and she is a happier girl!
