Remember that he was once among the highest in heaven and he wanted to be like God. He wanted to be like God, who's all-loving and caring. So if Satan wanted to be like God he wouldn't be all-hating, evil, and ugly. Why can't we admit that we are the ones that are evil and absent from God's image. We're trying to be like God again, to be an image of God like when we were first created but sin took that image away. Blah, what am I saying. You wouldn't understand me anyways.

Why are you people saying that he wanted to be MORE powerful than God, you're saying that there's room for someone above God. I said he wanted to be like God cause only God can be God and no one else can. I won't say he wanted to be above God because there is no ABOVE GOD! Get me?

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

good question even from some one who calls themselves a fallen angel but the truth is satan is the good guy in the bible he only killed 7 people in the bible while jehovah killed millions in the bible.
there is no such thing as fallen angels either and all the so called false gods in the bible are real gods or where anyways. the bible says a lot of mean things about a god they dont understand since satan is already a god named indra who was banished from heaven for trying to change things to the right way of living. we all know jehovah was a jealous god so you can understand why satan/indra was banished to begin with.

I would say that he loved God and felt betrayed by God for God created man after His image and likeness and then demanded all the angels to bow to His newest creature. The Angel Lucifer who at that time was considered the most beautiful of all was now thrust to another position, but the position he thought he held was never his to begin with but in his thinking he was the one who God should have loved most. His jealousy of man caused his down fall as jealousy will do to all who indulge in it.He vowed to prove God was wrong in creating man, that man was unworthy of Gods love, but for this God cast him and his co-horts out and offered them no chance of return and that really infuriated him and he's been on a quest to make sure we as man don't get forgiven and hopefully die in sin and never get the chance to hear God and change our understanding so we can be forgiven and enter into wherever it is God will be waiting. These are just my own thoughts.

When Satan did refuse God order that he schould accept human
has higher rank than him he became an ugly person.Who will refuse God order he will be unbeliever and enter to hell forever. This is valid for humans living in this world also.So the
Christs,Jews and other believers except Muslims are refusing God order too. They dont accept Koran as last book of Allah and
Mohammad as last prophet. But they dont know the truth.Thatswhy their sins arent comparable with Satan because
Satan knows the truth.Allthough he knows he insist on his wrong
way and still trying his best to push people inside of hell because he is the real enemy of humans.

He didn't want to be like God, he wanted to TAKE OVER GOD'S KINGDOM AND BE MORE POWERFUL. There's a big difference there. He rebelled against God to try and take over. He didn't want to be like God and be loving and caring, he wanted to take over. Satan is ugly and evil and does want to kill everyone, so he can drag your soul to hell to be with him in torture forever. Why are you defending the devil? You are picking the wrong team to be on! You're picking the losing team. Satan has already been defeated and will spend eternity in hell and wants to drag you there too. Satan is a liar. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. God is the all powerful winner of this whole deal and you'd be wise to pick His side so you can spend eternity in heaven with Him. He sent His Son Jesus to die for you. He rose again and lives today. All you have to do is believe this and accept it and try your best to live for Him. God bless.

The bible says that Satan was a beautiful angel. I believe that he was, and still is. For the reason that he is able to manipulate people. No ugly person is going to convince me to do anything. But someone with some charm and a smooth approach is going to win people over. He's only ugly on the inside, unfortuntely his beautiful on the outside.

Satan; also known as 'Lucifer'
Lord of Light....
This was THE Most Beautiful of ALL of God Angel's......
According to the original texts, Lucifer was appointed by God to set a series of tests to challenge the faith of the believers (Read Job again with this in mind.....)

Speaking as a Catholic we are taught from birth that satin is evil.
He is who we are scared of in hell and fire and fury.
Satan is Gods enemy he wanted the Power and he did not get it
So now he challanges him ties to undermine him
Everything has to have an equal opposite, in order to exist.
Satan is Gods absolute opposite
ie Satan is the Head of his church evil lying wrong bad all that God is not.

I think anytime you taint or twist something that is good and pure you have something that is evil and ugly. Remember, Satan didn't want to be LIKE God, he wanted to replace God. Big difference there. He was most assuredly a corruption of good, and that is far more evil than something that is clear in its motives.
