Depends on the situation. If you are at a park or a casual party with friends then its from the container. A glass would seem tacky.
If it's a special occasion such as an engagement party, graduation, or formal dress attire I would recommend a glass as the container is then tacky.
If you are still unsure and concerned about doing the proper thing then follow the crowd.

It's all about the location/ environment. If you are with friends watching the game or at a BBQ, then drinking beer from a can is completely OK.
But if you are out to dinner or even at a lounge bar, I have found ladies drinking straight from the can a little trashy.
If you are still unsure of what type of environment classifies for can drinking, just use your wardrobe as the deciding factor. If your dressed up then no can. If it feels like a t-shirt and jeans hangout attire, then crack that can right open :)

I think that drinking beer is not elegant at all because being drunk doesn't good look for anybody.
But if you are drinking only one beer and you are in a meeting where there are glasses, to pour it in a glass would be better, but if you are in a picnic with friends drinking it out of the bottle is ok.
So, it depends on the situation you find yourself.

Etiquette says to pour it into a glass (same thing for a man). But in most situations where beer drinking is done, it usually won't matter. You should just enjoy it as you like it.

Depends on where you are and what type of beer I order. If I order draft, of course it will be in a glass or mug. If I am in a club they serve it in bottles. At home, I prefer can. I live in a small dry county and when we travel to nearby bars that serve it both ways I prefer can. It is pretty much a personal preference. The one thing I can't stand is someone who orders a beer and then puts a straw in it. I used to bartend, supposedly it gets you drunker faster. I have never tried it. I have only been told that is what it does. I just think it looks so silly. :-)

It depends on the situation you are in. IF the gathering is something informal, drink from the can. If it's formal, use a glass. If you are unsure about what to do, look around. Follow the majority.

Cans are very dirty- they sit in warehouses for weeks and mice and other creatures live in warehouses. You can wipe off the top of a can but it still will not be clean. I drink from a glass.

it just looks better for a female to drink it from a glass.& some societies expect it. i drink mine from a glass,dont like the can taste.but if its in a bottle ill drink out of it.
