Dump him quicker than u can finish reading this answer. Trust me, being in any kind of an abusive relationship can only get worse. You can find someone else that will know how to treat you better because no real man ever needs to put his hands on a woman! (abusively i mean)

Sweetheart get out as quickly as you can. He may say that he'll change but he doesnt. Get the hell away from him, report him to the police if it is that bad, get a restraining order, and find some people that you trust that can protect you like an older brother. No GUY should ever put his hands on a women or a girl in any physically abusive way. It is morally wrong

Tell him to seek professional help. Meanwhile prepare yourself for a break up. Cos he won't change by the time he has settled dump him in style and leave him dumbfounded....
