would yoga/pilates be any good?? already doing swimming.

Pilates is great, low impact on the body but builds up stamina and tones. One of the best forms of exercise.

If money is no object I suggest buying a treadmill or elliptical machine and plopping it in front of your tv. You can work out while watching tv and movies, which will help you transition from being a "couch potato". Also, yes, get some yoga or pilates dvds and alternate the aerobic activity with the stretching practice.

And drink lots of water.

I love doing yoga because I never was athletic, and found I could get to be pretty good at doing the poses, which made me feel pretty good.

Try some basic yoga. There's no ceiling to the difficulty.

Are you a coach of potatoes that coach other people to become potatoes or do you mean couch potato.
