i have heard that if you live in a village, the Church may have you down in a book as a member, is this true? If it is how do i tell them i do not want my name in it? I would not want people to think i am a member of the Church.

Edit: I apologise I thought you were somebody else. Most churches kept an address list but the practise is no longer followed because such a list in the hands of buglers is priceless for Sunday mornings. Also freedom of information laws are somewhat more restrictive now.
