First off, the mother can't "make" them move in with her. If the daughter is 17 and has a child all she needs to do is petition the courts for emancipation. That is very simple to do. Next, your son can keep looking for a job, the girl can look for a job, there are good daycares for the child, could you look after the baby while they both worked? They could apply for some temporary assistance such as food stamps, WIC and medicaid for the baby. Help is available to them instead of moving in with a "crack addicted mom". And no one "makes you" put an electric bill in your name. When you decide to play house its time you stand up and be adults, a baby is depending on you.

An annonymous call to the Child Protective Services will get the action started that this 7 month old needs. If they take the child into custody , you can then let them know that you ,as the Grandmother are willing to take the baby in. Be prepared for alot of red tape that comes along with it.In the long run it would be in the best interest of the innocent baby. Good Luck!

You can call Child Protective Service, and report the conditions, try and get as much evidences as possible. Tell them the concerns of yours, for the child's best interests. Have you tried to talk to your son, tell him do not move in, the Mother will only use him. He does have rights, because he is the Father. If you can try and contact a lawyer, to find out what your rights are, this is what your son should do. He can get the child, if the Mother is not able to do it. and if your son, does not want to, then you try and get custody of the child.

call cps and explain to them the situation and see if there is any way u can get custody of ur grandchild..my grandma did the same thing..either that or talk to ur son and ask him whats gonna happen to the baby if something happens to them and talk him into giving u custody so that the state doesnt get the baby and then go to court and get it legally.

Go to family court, and file a petition for custody. You should also report the girl to family services so they can investigate her drug use. When you go to court, you'll need to present your case, and all of the issues. Best of luck!
