No one knows for certain what fruit it was. The Church would tell you it is the apple because the apple is a symbol to the Pagans because if you slice it sideways through the core and open it you will see a the core and seeds make a perfect pentacle, which is a symbol of protection and not devil worship.

A Kiwi. And there is a strong movement in NewZealand to replace the word Apple for Kiwi in the Bible. Another movement want to change the symbol + for the symbol $ because that is the thing where they nail on Jesus today.

It was simply the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. It's likely that it was purely symbolic. Even if such a fruit ever existed though, you wouldn't see it now nor would we know it be another name.

Some people say that the "fruit" was sex, but thats not true because God said " God blessed them and said to them, "be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.

No apple is mentioned in Genesis 3 (the fall of man in the Garden).
We don't know which fruit it was specifically.

No one actually knows, people just assume it was an apple.
But if they lived anywhere near the middle east it could have been a fig or pomegranate, which flourishes that area.
Or since it was before the flood, its possible that the fruit doesnt exist anymore.

A metaphoric one. Not a literal one. The old testament was written by primitives explaining their existence. We have the New Testament now and we can experience the Holy Spirit if we want Him to be our companion. Ask Him in, seriously. Your life won't be perfect but eternity will!!

America says "apple," the rest of the world says "pomegranate."
That whole, sex thing is bogus, since their FIRST instruction WHILE STILL IN THE GARDEN is to "go forth, MULTIPLY and subdue the earth."
