Does anyone have any real experience or statistics?

They must be at least fairly fruitful for people to keep it up.
I know spreading the word and all that, but there would surely come a point where you think "there are better ways of doing this".

Jesus used to do it, he asked us to do it, and if its good enough for Jesus its good enough for me.

I guess it depends on what you call succesful, what way do you think would be more succesful than door to door witnessing?
It is good to actually talk to peoples faces, you can see what there expression is etc, and also you can get more of an idea of what the person is like face-to face too. I am not sure of statistics, but considering in my congregation alone, there are about 200 witness who all have many regular calls and have helped show people the truth from the bible, i would say there is success. At the end of the day, if i get to read a scripture from the Bible to someone, or teach someone something about God, then i call that a success.

Matthew 24:14 .  And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come

Matthew 28:19,20 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

that's humorous! I purely had mormons at my door the different day, they regarded into my abode windows and observed me. They waved, i waved and walked into the mattress room. ha! First time ever i did one among these factor. I felt rather like a heel, yet i replaced into ill of them coming over too! I submit one among those "no soliciting" signs and indicators yet many communities chosen to ignore approximately that questioning speaking approximately God isn't comparable to soliciting. So right this is what i did for particularly a while that worked properly at my previous abode. I submit an illustration that stated do no longer knock or ring bell for non secular or soliciting purposes. It worked properly. The sign have been given lost interior the circulate and that i on no account made a clean one yet. jogs my memory i ought to make up a clean one. ultimate of success.

I recently converted my doorstep into a scratching post for my cat. The cat likes it and it looks good in the hallway.

I suppose this could be classed as successful.

Regrettably no religious groups were used in the conversion so this doesn't actually count.

Yes I think there is a better way to do this! I think you can't force people into Religion it just annoys people, People going round and preaching we had it on Christmas day wasn't very happy at all we see this as a family time and we had to put up with that!

I enjoy them because my faith doesn't do it just as we don't actively recruit others so when someone of the 'God squad' comes to my door and starts talking about their faith they end up asking about mine and I get to see the blank look on their face when I tell them I am a follower of Wicca and then get to tell them what it is all about. At least this way I am educating them that there are other faiths out there and they are not about devil worship as many of them were taught to believe.

There are many ways to spread the Word of God. And door to door is one of the ways to get the Word out.

They can't be that successful - my parents used to make my brother and I hide behind the couch when we saw Jehovah's Witnesses coming so that they'd think no one was home.
