I'm 80% sure she is ready for the next step, the engagement, after almost 1 year of dating. She is 28 and I'm 32 (we are not teenagers). Can you suggest sublte ways of finding out that she is 100% ready? I dont want to ask her straight forward, if you know what I mean. Also, what are some sings that say she's ready? I know 80% is already very reassuring, but I'm afraid that if she is not ready, I might just scare her off.

Ask her some questions about where she sees this relationship going, have you two talked about kids? Just start talking in general about marriage and the type of wedding that you would like and get her idea. If she brushes you off then that is pretty much your cue that she is not ready, but if she starts talking openly about what she would like then it's your cue that she's ready for the next step. a 28 ye old gal who has dated for a year shoud be very ready for engagement other wise wat wd be the point unless whe is one of those carreer or non commitment women n u wd hav picked this from ur conversation. My advice wd be go steady for some more months, talk more often abt wht she feels abt the whole engagement and marriage issue n c cher reaction. withi few more mnths u shd be able to tell. PS. How i wish my bf wd be thinkn of such stuff.. ie engagement n marriage bt he is so far frm it. am 25 n he is 28. Must say ur Gf is Lucky
