Legally, one becomes an adult at 18. Mentally, it's a slow process, and it doesn't just happen one day that all of a sudden you think like an adult. The more responsibilities you have, and the way you handle them is what makes you grown up.
Once you turn 18, it means you can vote, and that you don't need your parents permission for things. Be careful with that, as you are now able to sign legal contracts, which makes YOU responsible for the terms. Know what you are signing.

Yes 18 is legally an adult. Along with all of the other things mentioned by previous posters regarding things you can do here are a few more. You will be responsible for your own actions. You can get a real job and pay taxes. You will be responsible for paying for your own bills, clothing, basically paying your own way. Your parents can kick you out of the house without worrying about legal ramifications. Welcome to the wonderful world of being an adult!

Yes 18 is an adult. When you are 18 you can move out, get kicked out, get married, buy cigarettes, get a loan, get a tattoo or piercings without parental consent, get credit cards, get your license without taking drivers ed, theres a hell of a lot you can do!

well, it's still in the teens, but is so close to adult age. When you're 18 you can do whatever you want. So i would guess that yes, it is a adult age.

you may be considered a teen till you're 20, won't be able to change that. basically keep performing more effective mature..i become an identical even as i turned right into a senior. i said all of us become so damn stupid and immature and did not understand why i become the in consumer-friendly words human being who had grown up. Even now after I see human beings from extreme college i think like none have grown up, yet all of us is diverse.

No an adult can make decisive decisions in his her life because of previous experiences, some people never reach adulthood no matter how old they become. But according to national laws you are permitted to Have SEX in some countries you may drink and smoke to start experiencing life to be able to make decisive decisions later in your life.
