I have dark brown hair that comes to my shoulders. What colour streaks should I put into my hair, and where is the best place to put them. As in, at the front, at the back etc. Thanks. And also, should I get thin or think sreaks. I have a medium complexion.

I too have dark brown hair and a medium complexion. I always put the color "caramel" in my hair but have used burgundy and also bright red. The caramel lightens it, and looks HOT (so I'm told)!!! And the burgundy makes it red out in the sun. Don't do the bright red...lol...it looked awful, to say the very least. I use small streaks and all over from the front to the back and even underneath the hair.

If you want something bold and funky, get thicker streaks. If you want something light, but adds something to your hair, get thin streaks.
If your doing thicker streaks, you could do either a copperish blonde highlight or a blonde highlight. Either will look good in brown hair.
For just thin streaks, I'd stick to blonde because it'll give the most definiton.

Just remember to never go more than 2 hues in any direction for your streaks. Go either 2 shades lighter or 2 shades darker. You can always go more extreme if you want to later. :) Have fun !!

can you not visualize which color would suit you? pick something which will complement your features. and as to where you should put them, it depends where you part your hair. why dont you go to a reputable salon and ask a professional stylist there?
