No.
I met my potential mate off of myspace. We've got our first date on Sunday (He used to be my brother's best friend. We've spoken for a year now and never met).
Love knows no boundaries. If you love him and he loves you, why does it matter where you met?

Let me ask you a question. Do you think it's wrong? Why seek approval from people you don't even know on the internet?

The Internet is a legitimate way to meet people, many would envy you because it's not the easiest thing to do.
