hello! I just happened to be on this morning and thought I would check this site out and your question popped up. I was pretty sure of the answer right away. It must be an infection in your tooth. They will do that sometimes because the infection has no where to go. I have had that before too and I ended up getting a root-canal done, but I'm in no way saying thats what you need but it does seem like some kind of abscess . You'll want to get it checked out ASAP because it is not good to carry infection in your body.....it can cause serious health problems and not to mention worse dental problems then you began with...... Good luck and don't worry....the dentists will take good care of you!!!!

Could be a few things. Make an appointment with your dentist, asap. Try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water ,three times daily, especially on retiring to bed.
ALL lumps need investigating. The earlier, the better.

I just took my 7 year old daughter to the dentist yesterday for the same problem. The dentist checked it,swabbed it with some medicine, and said it would go down. But you do need to see the dentist to rule out anything else. Try using Corsodyl mouthwash until you see your dentist,as it's a good antiseptic mouthwash.

Most likely it is an abcess....even if you've had a root canal already, the canals can still get infected.
See a dentist asap!

Sounds like an abscess. You'll need an antibiotic.
