cuz im really mad right now...and i wanna know how to calm down..cuz im in a public place. and i dont want to loose it....

If you are where the weather will permit (I am not) try taking a walk to think and air out what you are feeling. I also have a great friend that is a listener and then she tells me what she thinks and is truthful and sometimes thats what I need to hear. If you are in public and it is a person that is making you angry, leave there. Disassociating yourself from whatever is making you angry, if it is possible, would be a great start. Also, sit down and write what has made you angry and then put it away and in a week or so get it out and read over it, and see if you still feel the same as you do today. I have found that you have to get your anger out before you can feel better. I have bipolar disorder and I go through lots of emotions and actions, sometimes causing me to look back later and realize if I had just talked to someone I could have felt better. Good luck to you.

you'd probably get arrested for doing this in a public place but its a trick my Mum showed me when I was a little girl and had a couple of temper tantrums
she gave me a crate of old bottles and placed an old tile down in the very back of the garden..then she'd let me smash those bottles on the tile until my temper subsided..the point was that it was a condition that I had to clean up all the mess when I was done....I learnt to control my temper fairly quickly because it was my choice...I hated sweeping up all the broken glass!...when I got older all Id have to do was think about those bottles when my temper was roused and it would subside pretty quickly

Put on my headphones and listen to calm music. I always have a few rock ballads in my Flashplayer.... Close my eyes and let the music carry me away... I even do this at work alot... Sometimes I just need 10 minutes of solitude... And when you listen to music you are alone even in the largest crowd....

Standing or sitting, make yourself slow your breathing WAY down, and breathe deeply from the diaphram
(tummy). Concentrate on your breathing to the exclusion of all else, just feel the air flowing in and out, slowly and deeply.
Do it for 5 min, and if you begin to get angry again, do it again.
You cannot be upset if you breathe this way.
Try it!!

when I am angry and I cant express it , I think about the moment that i am actually in and I do What ever it is that can be done at this moment only. I don't dwell on what made me angry I do what needs to be done right now. Some time it helps to call a friend and talk about something silly.

I usually listen to music. But if you're in public, take deep breaths and let the anger out.

Breathe and talk to yourself inside your head and vent the anger on an imaginary person within your head. Sounds crazy, i know, but it does the trick for me.

kick the fist thing that pops up (not dogs, cats ect - something without felling like a guy). or make like me a sit and relax and take a few deep breaths
