Here's a clue: They're afraid to show dissent or disagree with the militant followers of this so-called religion.
If someone is willing to blow themself up, they would not hesitate to kill anyone who speaks out against them. That would include family members of opponents, too.

We have. I have. Many many times. Look at my Q and A to see my answers to questions. I provide evidence. The link below is to a site with hundreds of condemnations against terrorism. Did you know there was a fatwa issued against it as well? There was a rally held in Washington in March. Or was that May? I think May. NOt sure. Anyway, we're ignored. It doesn't fit in with the "We're occupying their countries so don't say anything good about them" agenda. Here is the link. Spread it around so people can see we are NOT being silent. this muslim woman strongly condemns terrorists.

Are you kidding me? Muslims have been condeming terrorism and suicide bombing for years! Is it my fault if CNN never asks Muslims that kind of question? Why didn't they ask Muslims on the street what they think of suicide bombing, or go knock on people's doors and ask what they think of Bin Laden?
Seriously, go read a Muslim newspaper, or visit a mosque. Violence is condemned all the time, and regularly. It's common knowledge.
CAIR, the Council for American-Islamic Relations, made a fatwa saying terrorism is a sin. They also had a "Not in the Name of Islam" petition, and it currently has over 691,531 people and mosques signed on it.

If Americans really condemn Abu Ghraib and torture, why do they never oppose it completely? If Protestant Christians really condemn abortion clinic bombing, why do they never oppose it completely? If Christians really oppose Joseph Kony's Christian terrorists in Uganda, why do they never oppose it openly? You're only going by what you see on TV, aren't you?

Radical Islamism is a problem more disturbing to Muslims than to non-Muslims as they have tainted the image of the great religion of God. Yes, we have never rallied against them on the streets. Nonetheless, our scholars and clerics of the highest emminence and authority have issued religious verdicts (fatwa) condemning those unislamic extremism. Our leaders have also united under the banner of OIC (Organisation of Islamic Conference) in condemning and fighting against those radical Islamists who have tainted the image of our religion.

They do----------the media does not cover it, so few know about it.
There was a huge demonstration in Washington DC a some months back---I only heard of it because of a friend who lives there. I never heard a word about it in the media. There have been rallies in Michigan, that I know of, and in the Chicago area. There are Imams preaching against it. There are Muslim governments who are meeting to find ways to stop it-there are a few words in the papers--stuck where alot of people would never see it.
We only hear what ''they'' want us to hear.
