The Bible is not a science book, yet it is scientifically accurate. We are not aware of any scientific evidence that contradicts the Bible. We have listed statements on this page that are consistent with known scientific facts. Many of them were listed in the Bible hundreds or even thousands of years before being recorded elsewhere.

Your question is broad...maybe too broad. Different religions have different attitudes toward science.
In terms of Christianity, there is a stereotype that Christians are anti-science, however there is plenty of evidence that scientists are prejudiced against any theories of the origin of the universe that involves God.
Also, when you discuss the issue of science and religion, you have to consider the time period. Today's science, new science, disproves a lot of science from 200 years ago. For instance, Darwin knew nothing about the structure of DNA, and the complexity of a single cell. We now know that there is no such thing as a "simple cell." So scientists who made theories 100 years ago based on the idea of a "simple cell" which is like a balloon filled with water, were wrong. New science tells us that each cell is made up of complex structures that perform different functions, all coded in an incredibly complex computer code called DNA. So, basically, the more science learns, the more science from the past has to be discarded.
One other point: science is not always honest. History has been full of scientists who make up things in hopes of achieving fame. Recently a Korean scientist was exposed as having falsified stem cell research. A scientist created "Piltdown Man" from the jawbone of a pig, and claimed that it was a prehistoric man.

Science doesn't argue against religion directly. The issue is always that science finds things in the old texts that are responsible for creating most religions, that are not accurate. Example: The creation story in Genesis or the Earth being round.
This causes issues between science and religions because the religious don't want to admit that something in their supposedly divinely inspired book is wrong.

Science is the study of the natural realm, religion is the study of the spiritual realm. There is no contradiction. It is beyond the bounds of science to explain or disprove the spiritual realm. Scientists cannot use their natural ability and senses to study God. God can only be reached by the spirit in man that God has
made alive. The two realms are separate and distinct. Science says nothing created the universe and all living things religion says God created them. Nilism versus Creationism. Scientific methods versus miracles.

Science does not address the question of god or religion.
In a scientific context, legitimate scientists do not take the creationists or their claims seriously. Creationists have no data of their own to prove their assertions. In matters relevant to the origin and nature of life on Earth, they pursue no pertinent research worthy of the name. They studiously overlook the more telling modern scientific literature, except to extract out-of-context quotes. Their scholarly publication record is nonexistent. With all their talk about "scientific creationism," the creationists have produced no documentation in the scientific literature. No empirical, experimental, or theoretical evidence for "scientific creation" has been published in peer-reviewed science journals, the traditional method whereby scientists communicate the results of their research.

Depends on the religion. Clearly when Christians claim the earth is 6000 years old and claim evolution doesn't happen, that is contradictory to what we know about the world. On the other hand I would be hard pressed to make a case that Buddhism conflicts with known science.

Science has no use for religion.
Religion is fine unless it oversteps its bounds from the realms of the supernatural and starts making assertions about the physical world.
Lightning is not caused be zeus. Evolution is not caused by yahweh. We know what causes these phenomena - it's ridiculous to try to deny it.

Science has no business in the realm of the supernatural... the supernatural is defined as anything that is beyond natural and cannot and should not be explained by science because it is not testable.

No - there's no contradiction - they are complementary. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't like that idea very much so they push one into the other's territory in order to invalidate one or the other.
