I hate how Xanax tastes.

You're tasting the Xanax because it does not have a protective surface around it Aspirin, for example, has a protective layer so that it will be absorbed gradually once in the stomach.
But, that would be pointless with Xanax... people generally need relief immeditely, so the taste is just an unfortunate side effect.
If you find that you have anxiety for extended periods, Xanax XR exists both as a brand name and generic, and provides all-day relief. (I take it, and it's much more effective for me than the quick-release tabs.)

Look you sound smart but I chewed up both Xanax and asparin, as well as many other pills for that matter and Xanax is by far so much worse. Blah trayse like extra bitter grapefruit peel.

Xanax wasn't made to taste good!!!!! Obviously you have anxiety problems. Apart from taste doe it work? Isn't that all thats important. Take it with food.

Take a sip of water, put it a tablet in then swallow with the rest of the water. That should make it so that you don't taste it. I hope you're alright. That's a strong drug.

What happens if I miss a dose?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
