it is showing you affection............ It is NORMAL for dogs to lick their owners....................We humans show affection in many ways like hugging, kissing, patting and others. But kissing is the most special one because one actually feels the warmth and intensity of the feeling being expressed through this acti

on. Dogs, I believe, do the same. Since they cannot hug or pat you they express their joy, gratitude and content by licking us. And to say the truth, we dog lovers, love these expressions of caring love and affection.

Now, there are different styles of dog lickers. There are those who jump all over you like Dino and Fred in The Flintstones, others that are slimy and leave you as if you had just gone out of the shower and there are those which are so shy and respectful that barely touch you. But no matter what is your dog's style it´s the most endearing canine behavior.

Little toy breeds lick alot, Its better to kiss-up when ur small! It also shows where ur dog views u in social ranking, ( alpha) either couse theres no one else around or you do things like make the dog sit on the floor while u eat, instead of on your plate like some people I know. Oh, its also Love... ahh.

Its just showing you some love. Try giving it a dog bone. The really big one. That might help.
