Someone is taking me to court for 2 and 1/2 Grand and i am care of my mums but i own nothing in the house can they take anything i not long got out of a womans shelter so i am flat broke and possesionless

Got a computer while bankrupt and didnt pay no longer have computer now they taking me to small claims but i have no money or property what can happen

Once they take you to small claims court they can obtain a judgment against you . That means that they will be able to garnish your wages or take money from your bank account any time in the future. They most likely will send the claim to a collection agency to collect on their behalf.

They only want money or real estate. They do not take personal items.
If you are asked to go to court show up. You could talk to somebody that gives free legal advice contact the women's shelter they can help you.

I think they are suing the wrong person, since your still under your mothers care she's the person to be sued and not you. This being said without knowing all that is involved here. Why are you being sued?
