Sugar is artificial it has been extracted from various sources like sugar cane, beet root etc whereas honey is not extracted but it is consumed as it is . The honey is the pure because it is collected directly from the flowers by the bee and stored and there is no other manufacturing activity to it and therefore it contains no toxic effects and is more easily digestable and it also increases our appetite and purifies our blood. Knowing is remarkable medicinal properities Ayurveda the indian system of medicine uses it extensively.

honey contains sugars in the form of fructose and glucose which are more easily absorbed by the body.and it also contains many minerals depending on the nectar from which it is made(potassium,sodium,calcium,magnesium,iron,copper,manganese,chlorine,etc)
it also contains very small amounts ofascorbic acid,niacin,pantothenic acid,riboflavine and thiamine
its also not refined
an antiseptic
and damn fine tasting

Absolutely, in fact if you buy local honey it can decrease your allergies.
