Usually most girls cry when they are in love rather than boys, they also cry for such simple problems. Is this genetically inherited or Sex dependent? I usually wonder such issue!

When we're in love, our emotions are heightened and therefore sadness, as well as joy, are expressed more readily. As for the difference between girls and boys, I think this has something to do with the way, certainly in the UK, that boys are conditioned from a very early age not to cry - to keep a stiff upper lip, as tears aren't manly. I've noticed in Mediterranean countries, that men will cry more readily than the British male. On a scientific note, however, I quote from the website below: 'Some studies and scientists indicate that emotional tears, within humans, are different within males and females and also may have a distinct evolutionary origin and physiological purpose. Certain chemicals may build-up when the body is under great stress. Studies have shown that proteins released in emotional tears are the same hormones associated with high stress. For instance, prolactin (protein associated with breastmilk production) and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) are both associated with emotional tears and also stress within the body. Women tend to have higher prolactin levels, nearly double, than that of men and this may be why women cry a bit more easily when under stress. ACTH, often associated with the "sweating bullets" you see on a guy who has forgotten his anniversary or is pushing a deadline, is stress associated and released in emotional tears. Research shows that suppressing emotional tears may contribute to conditions such as hypertension and heart disease. The most mysterious and enigmatic part of crying comes from the most recognized use of tears in today's society - communication. At a funeral or during a sad event, cultural norm shows expressing sadness in tears is comforting and common. This seems to be an emotional response that covers many cultures. The same way adults use crying to show an emotional bond, babies and young children use crying (with associated tears) as a symbol of communication to show pain, hunger or perhaps hurt. The evolutionary and physiological aspect of the communication of crying, in humans and perhaps some animals, still has many points of consideration.' The point made above regarding hypertension and heart disease is certainly valid, because it's a known fact that a larger percentage of men suffer from these disorders than do women. So, for good health, don't hold back the tears!

Crying is a really healthy way to deal with emotion. Boys usually bottle it up, get drunk and hit someone. Unless they are Italian. Italians cry when they are emotional - and it's incredibly attractive. Since they are undeniably men, I presume its childhood conditioning (boys don't cry) Proud to say I never told my son that, as a result he sheds the occasional tear but has never hit anyone.

Well, first of all it's widely known that girls are very emotional and burst into tears for minor issues. As for when they are in love they give up everything for the relationship and and when their bf dumps them they get deeply hurt.A boy may hurt too but not as deep as a girl.I guess nature decided to make men the powerful ones what to do?

girls are emotional and sentimental because its our nature and its the hormones. it keeps us away from being crazy when problem arises. we express our feelings and emotions in that way. and it feels like a big thorn was pulled out of our hearts after crying and it also makes us stronger. it actually lowers the stress level.

Maybe it's because 9 times out of 10 it's the girl who gets her heart stomped on?

Girls cry because they are taught that's it's ok by society. Boys are not encouraged to cry - generally speaking of course.
