Yes. Been there done that, lost the friendship to prove it.

I will be honest with you that if it doesnt work out it will probably ruin the friendship. I am in the same boat as you at the moment and really like one of my best ever friends (so much that i cannot ignore how i feel). The point is that life is too short to worry about that. Go for it and see how it goes. If it doesnt work out then it wasnt meant to be anyway! You can still remain friends but i will warn you that it will never be the same again! However i am going to tell my friend how much i like him so i think you should too especially if you have confirmation from his friends that he likes you too! Go for it let me know what happens.

It's a tricky one but if you like him I think you should talk to him and tell him. Honesty is the best policy otherwise you will keep wondering if he likes you and trying to second guess the situation rather than knowing what is going on.
There is always some risk involved as you don't know how he feels but there is only one way to find out! If it doesn't work out there may be a period of time when things are a little strange between you but only whilst you re-establish your friendship- if he is a true friend you will get through it.
Still going crazy trying to work out what to do and need distractions and moral support?

I think it is only you who can really answer if its gonna be ruin, because his your bestfriend.
I'm in your current situation right now. all im saying, if you gonna start going out, expect the worst that it may not work out. Usually, if it doesnt work out, yes you may remain friends but there will always be this scar, this feeling, this past, no matter how much you try to hide it. But time heals, if ever it doesnt work out.. If you can take the risk of 50% working out, and 50% not, then go for it.
In my opinion, go for it. Its better to regret things you did than regret things you never did. If you think its worth risking your friendship and since the feeling is mutual, I dont see why not?

I dated my best friend of 16 years. We grew up together, we've known each other since we were five years old. Being with him was the most wonderful time of my life -- Honestly, nobody knows you better than your best friend. We broke up, but on mutual terms, and we've remained the best of friends ever since. Our relationship hasn't suffered even the tiniest amount.
Have a good talk about it with him. Before either of you get into a relationship, you need to agree that no matter what, both of you will ALWAYS be friends, and that you will always support each other, come hell or high water.

i don't think that it will ruin you relationship but it might nake things a little bit shaky after/if you two break up. Just take things slowly and remember that you both are probably scared about what's happening so make sure you communicate.

If u really like him u should go with your gut instinct, I bet he feels the same too. Just tell him how u feel cos i bet he feels the same. if u guys are good mates anyway nothing should chance if u decide 2 end it.

Make the move on your friend and see what happens between you two. If you don't then you'll regret it. If you lose them as a friend if things don't work out, then you can make new friends.

Ask yourself this... Is the possible loss of his friendship worth taking the chance? If it is... go for it!
