Don't blame the dog for it's lack of training! Any dog is only as good as the training it receives. When he bites (I'm assuming this is in play) YELP, loud, like a hurt dog and immediately stop playing (ignore him) for about five minutes. As for the chewing you have to teach him what is okay to chew and what is not. Give him only 2 or 3 chew toys. If you give him more it starts looking (to him) like everything is his. When he picks up his toy, praise him, tell him how good, how smart he is, throw a praise party. When he picks the wrong thing just tell him no, make him give it up and give him his toy. The thing with training a dog is you have to pay attention, don't leave the dog unattended and expect him to behave. If he has to be left alone (work/school) crate train him.

Owning a Siberian Huskyis a full time job! There are many disadvantages as well as advantages. Unfortunately they can be very destructive, especially when young and/or if left alone for a long time. Its in the breed. They are an independent and strong willed dog, generally to be a candidate for obedience training/work!
You NEED to take your dog to obedience classes. You also need to be very firm, in handling your dog, and with your training at home. You MUST start now, before your dog gets completely out of hand. Husky's are very energetic, they love to run!! So, give your dog masses of exercise, long runs/walks,to tire him out as much as possible! Exercise will help to keep him happy and contented. You should keep your Husky on a lead at all times, they are known NOT to come back when called,no matter how much they are trained.
Husky's love company,so try not to leave him alone for too long. A bored dog, is a troubled dog!
Play with your dog as much as possible, incorporating training in play. When your dog bites, give a low growl at him, if he continues, growl louder, and stand tall, reinforcing YOU as the alpha, just as his mother would do,it worked with my dog!!! I tried everything before that, without success.
So, Obedience classes are a MUST,masses of exercise is a MUST,strict training at home, firm handling,(NO SMACKING)!!! plenty of play, and company!!!
As I have owned five dogs, all active breeds...............Border Collies, and Bearded Collies, I can tell you that you need to be dedicated to training/exercising your dog!!!

You are not a bad owner/trainer! Just in expierenced and I do believe that is what this forum is for so ignore the idiots that posted before me!! He is bad/destructive because he is bored. He is not trying to irritate you (although it may seem that way) LOL Just take him for a LONG walk and he will chill out, He needs to get rid of his built up energy. If you do take him for walks them walk him twice as long and if you dont have the time or are lazy then get him a tread mill. I havnt seen a dog that this has not worked for yet!

No offence, but there is no such thing as a wild, bad dog, just an untrained owner. If you haven't had any success and he is 6 months, I suggest going to a trainer for help. If you are doing things right you should see a significant response in the dog in less than a month.

Get him to obedience classes I reckon. In the mean time you could check out this article to help stop the chewing - http://www.dog-obedience-training-review.com/stop-dog-chewing.html
Good luck with him
