With my experience, I can say with some authority that yoga alone will help you in reducing your weight, without spoiling your health. Learn yoga from some reputed yoga master, in the classical manner. It is the panacea for all your ills.

I think the 8 months to implement permanent lifestyle changes and lost 30kg is pretty unrealistic. I think you'll need more like 2 years, but that will involve a permanent lifestyle change that is do-able, rather than too much too soon that leads to failure, negative self-esteem and yo-yo dieting.

Here is what I suggest you start now:
- walk everywhere you can, take stairs, get in at least 10,000 steps a day. In a few weeks you'll be able to start jogging.

- do two home mini-work outs for about 10 minutes first thing in the morning and right after work
- Have one drink and only one drink, preferably wine, each evening.
- Give up instant, processed foods. If all you do is microwave it or boil it in a bag, then it's got too much fat and sugar.

And, more importantly, you need to examine your emotions and the self-abuse that got you where you are.

I've been there. It is do-able, but it is not about losing weight, it's about changing your life.

Good luck.

Well I must say first and foremost.. Do not compare this woman to your "ex"in any way, shape or form. I know that is easier said than done..:o).. As far as the weight issue goes.. You must determine if it a health issue, or is it a 'looks' issue with you. I agree men are very visual in all aspects of their like and relationships are no different. Is she dressing to accentuate the positives of her 'curvy' body or is she just wearing clothing that doesn't flatter her figure as much? This can be a huge thing even for you, as it is a visual aspect. Does she have the energy to go out and do the things you like now? If not, then that is a huge relationship concern altogether.. Is she comfortable with herself? Has she always had the weight? If so, then what attracted you to her to begin with, and why now has it become an issue (maybe a 'friend' said something??)?? You need to determine the 'why' then you can move into 'how' to deal, as each why will have a different 'how'..

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

A sight with some really cool diet calculators and interesting calorie counting calculators is here. Check it out.

You are overweight and that is a type of a stain on ur personality. Dieting will be of no use. Just Avoid junk food and take a normal diet. It would be much better if u take home cooked food. To loose weight, it is important that the carbohydrates of your body are burnt. Just walk, walk & walk. It will be really very effective. DON`T RUN as ur muscles will strech & u will gain weight.

I don't think, you need to lose more than 10KGS., considering, your height. Anyway, a Doctor's advise is best. To reduce 10 KGS., easy methods stop sugar, in any form, even in tea & coffee, if you drink. Avoid, all sweets including fruits like Banana, Mango, Grapes. etc.. Daily run at least 5 KMS.

Take lemon juice a glassful mixed with water and do not add anything in it. Take it before breakfast, one hour before breakfast, use at least three lemons. When you wake up take two glasses of plain water, without cleaning your teeth and only after 45 minutes, after cleaning your teeth, take the lemon juice, do it and see the difference, also avoid junk food
