I'm not sure what houseproud has to do with it. I'd knock on the door, if they invite you in, go. If they don't, hand over the parcel, wish the little girl "happy birthday", congratulate the parents, and go.
Families fall out over the strangest things. I'm having a problem right now - but sometimes you just have to accept you're all different and get on with it.

Just because you are not getting along with your Sister or her Husband does not mean that you should ignore your niece. What did she, your Niece, do to you? She can't help the parents that she has. If both of her parents are overly proud as you state than your niece needs someone in her life to look up to and learn how not to be so proud.
My sister and I are not the closest sibling and her husband is a complete idiot. But I still love my niece and I remember her birthdays. I go to her school and eat lunch with her. You can do the same and avoid your Sister and her husband all together.
And later, down the road, when you get old and senile, you would want your niece as well as your own children to take care of and remember you. Don't disown your niece because of her rude parents. She can't help that.

i imagine you may stay homestead too. both that or advance up and be the mature one at your 9 three hundred and sixty 5 days previous nieces social gathering. do not ruin it for her. in case you and your niece are so close why might want to you teach her that that style of behaviour is suitable. go get a punching bag, or visit the health center, you want to launch a number of your anger woman. it truly is totally no longer healthful.

Give it to her anyway!
If you don't want to go round the house, arrange to meet your sister for coffee or something and give her the present then.
I'd have a chat with your sister too about how you're feeling and see if you can resolve the situation

She is your sister! It's too bad that you are having trouble but if you don't go around, they win! You be the bigger person, let them know you are uncomfortable if you need to and give that niece her present. She certainly didn't do anything wrong.

Never let someone come between your family, go round there and give it to her. I'm sure she would like to see you on her birthday.
I hate my sisters bloke but I would never let that stop me from seeing my nephew, he and my sister mean way too much to me.
