i have a party at da end of ds week n i want to lose at least 6 pounds. what do i do?

Well, its the simple stuff I'm afraid.

Ditch the bread, sugary food, crisps and salty foods etc.

Buy loads of low fat healthy fruit and veg. Make a veggie soup and eat this before each meal - it helps to fill you up.

Try to vary what you eat each day otherwise you will be so bored you will give in and get a macDonalds!

Have fruit and yogurt or cereals for breakfast.
Have soup, plus a healthy salad with some crackers - high fibre or maybe some cous cous for lunch.
Eat jacket potatoes with salad and lean meat or fish for dinner.

Drink plenty of water each day. Try not to eat too late in the day.

Most people on stating a low fat diet will lose between 2 and 7lb in the first week, most of it is water loss however and the weight loss steadies to between 1/2lb per week thereafter.

Good luck. Dont do any of the really silly diets listed above because by the time the party comes you will have crap skin, no energy, headaches and the first alcoholic drink you have will knock you out!

cut out salty and high fat food especially added salt as this will make your body retain water. This will make a visual difference very quickly.

Do toning exercises such as situps or lifting light weights as this will also start to have an effect and slim down parts of the body you might most want to lose the weight from.

Its prob bets to make long term changes and improve your health and fitness by having a healthier diet of lower fat, more fruit, varied nutricious diet and regular exercise even if its taking a walk during your lunch break

For a quick weight loss I would recommend drinking plenty of water that will help clean your body out and also speeds up weight loss. I would just eat salads and fruit for the rest of the week. I usually lose anything up to about 9lbs by just doing that. I wouldn't advise you try to lose 6lbs every week ideally 1/2lbs a week as you tend to be able to maintain the weight loss better. But as a one off try what i suggested works for me and 3 of my friends . Good luck and have a great party

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

The target is unachievable.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Not everybody can go on a diet. Still, the best way to lose weight is to eat more vegetables and no sweets at all and go in for some kind of sports as much as you can.

Look up in Google Elizabeth Hurley's cabage soup diet, you will lose really fast but nobody will want to dance with you at the party because of your cabbage farts!

Or you could go to one of those salons and have a seaweed wrap which makes you go down one dress size! Good luck

the fast way:
1)you can fast from the break of dawn till like, dinner,,eat a big meal before 6.00 am and then don't eat anything,,,break fast at dinner,,but not too much (it'll look like you're making up for the times you didn't eat),,,and eat fresh fruits at night,,,there's no limit of days to fast,,,

maintaining it:
1)try maintaining your weight by eating many times a day but in very small portions,,, i mean very small

3)practise not to drink anything 1 hour before and after eating,,,lots of water will slow down your digestion,,,drink lots of water but not during that time,,(prepare a glass of water,,in case needed)

note: there's no limit of activities (like exercising, housework) that could be done during fasting,,,Prophet Muhammad was used to participating in wars during the month of Ramadhan,,,,
