An interview should always be carefully prepared. Make sure you know your CV inside out and always take 2 or 3 copies of your CV with you to the interview. Most of the recruiters will be prepared and have a copy in front of them, but you may also find an interviewer who has run out of time and forgotten your CV in the office. He/she will definitely appreciate you being ready and handing over a clean copy of your CV. Keep a copy for yourself as well, it may be helpful if the interviewer refers to a particular point in your CV, you may also want to glance at it as well to refresh your memory.

Make sure that you have researched the company before your interview and have a good understanding of the role you are applying for. Prepare a list of questions for your interview related to the role, the organisation and the company culture. An interview is an exchange of information for both you and the employer and both parties need to get enough data to identify if the partnership will work out or not.

Make sure you’re prepared for a few standard questions that the recruiter will be most likely to ask you (examples are: your strengths and weaknesses, what can you bring to us, why should we offer you the role, etc.). Browsing through the internet will also help you find a list of behaviour or competencies based questions. Use your experience of interviews to prepare for the most recurrent questions.

Be clear, precise and concise during the interview, but avoid talking too much about yourself as the recruiter may feel that you are trying to “lead” the interview. Let him/her guide you and listen carefully to each question before answering. If you are not too sure about the question, don’t be embarrassed to ask the recruiter to repeat the question.

Jump on the opportunity to ask different questions, this will demonstrate your interest in the company and in the role, will give you an opportunity to gather the information to take the right decision about changing job and, last but not least, will give less time to the recruiter to ask you potentially tricky or difficult questions to answer.

On the interview day, take a notepad with you and take notes while the recruiter explains the role. Again this will show your interest in the role and will make a good impression. Make sure that you dress properly, smart dress code should be the rule, along with a good haircut. You should keep in mind that the first impression counts a lot and most of the recruiters get the “feel” for the candidate in the first 10 minutes. Under those condition, the way you dress, the way you behave, sit and speak will have a big impact on the outcome of the interview.

Dress clean and tidy, no gimmicks. Shake hands with your interviewers and tell them that you have never had an interview before and you are a little nervous. Now this brings out the best in most people, they will want to help you along and make you feel at ease. We've all been there, so your interviewers will make allowances for your nerves. Let them conduct the interview and answer their questions calmly and honestly, no point in fibbing about anything. Your artwork should be the thing that gets you the place - clearely you have talent and this will show through. Your interviewers are used to young people who are nervous and feel awkward so it shouldn't affect whether they give you a place or not. So relax, answer honestly, and shake hands when you leave. Also, at the end, thank them for taking the time to see you. That shows good manners and really makes a good impression.
Good luck, we'll all be rooting for you.

The interviewer might wish to shake hands with you. Let him make the first move. If you do shake hands grip firmly but do not turn it into a test of strength. Sit when indicated to do so. Put your art work down to one side and let the interviewer lead. Sit with a straight back do not cross legs and keep your hands still on your lap. Smile but not a silly grin. When answering question smile as you speak. Might sound silly but it improves your speaking voice and gives a happy impression without being over the top. Your work samples will be asked for if the interviewer likes you. If you have not presented you work and the interview seems to be at an end pick them up and offer them to the interviewer. Be polite and be yourself.

Interview.....

Turn up on time!
Dress smartly, the interveiw will deside in the first min of meeting you if they like you or not, and thats just natural, so make a good first impression.
Turn your mobile off, or dont even take it

As for your art work, it has to be eye catching to them, they will see a lot of work a day, so do what you can to make it stick out, borders, ect.

And perpare for questions such as....

Why do you want to come here?
Want are your goals for collage?

my daughter didn't do art but does a design course which includes art, so maybe you might be able to do something similar, for your interview just dress smart, relax, and present your art in a neat folder so they can look at them easily explain your circumstances to them and they'll offer you the best advice they can give, they might suggest a course which will fit in with you doing gcse art at the college

Aww hunni he's have been given it undesirable <3 do no longer concern If he replaced into merely attempting to get you jealous, it rather is reason he merely needs your interest. I agree, the jealousy plan is fairly stupid, yet howdy, all of us use it now and returned ;) maybe you are able to desire to attempt to start the conversations when you consider that he seems to be like very uncomfortable on your presence (in a good way) I wager he gets all frightened and tongue-tied around you ;)
