Ah, this is the sad truth. So many Christians are ignorant about Islam. Most believe what they hear or read or watch on television, which offers a load of crap nowadays that it's hard to tell fact from fiction.
I myself am Christian and I won't profess to know much about Islam. I can only suggest to people to verify what they 'think' they know about other religions before saying or doing anything.
The thing with monotheistic religions like Christianity and Islam is that they tend to be self-directed, meaning they teach their followers stuff about their faith, but only their own faith/religion. They don't teach anything about other religion, (i.e.) Priests don't preach to Muslims and Imams don't preach to Christians.
I guess it's up to ourselves (our own initiative) to learn more about another religion. A Christian can learn from a Muslim friend, and vice versa. In my country, there are schools for Christian Studies and schools for Islamic Studies for those who want to learn and understand more.
I do not know why Arab-speaking Christians use the word Allah for God, but where I live it is widely accepted that Allah is the equivalent term or word for God.

Some of them no nothing about history of Islam, that's why they are so ignorant about our religion. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was illiterate. There's no way he could write the holy Quran. And the Arabic speaking Christians use Allah for God because Allah means "The God" in Arabic. The Arabic bible also uses Allah for God:

I am a muslim woman, and I would say that it's because the arabic speaking Christians KNOW arabic and aramaic, the original language of Jesus (PBUH). I was in Pakistan and a good friend of the family who I had met there on travels before is a Christian. We talked religion and got along great. Christians believe ONLY that Jesus (PBUH) was a savior. In arabic, that's the only difference. And they also have a more original version of the bible. Not the one that american christians have that is extremely anti woman.

It is strange to note that while Muhammad is alive, he has to say so many time to his followers, 'if you don't believe me, you may check with the people of the book'. Which is Jews and Christian.
So, who is more acurate? Isn't it Bible? Muhammad said so.
Many says that Injil and the Bible was corrupted. Muhammad came into scene during 6 centuries. The Koran was compile of his saying some years later by his followers. In fact, there are so many version of Koran that sword had to be use to burn all other copies.
Now in Middle East, there are still other version of Koran? So different from one to another theologically.
Bible, yes, many version, for they have different way of translation. But the same theme. No Theological different.
Bible, the same as today, as some found in the cave hidden during the first 2 to 3 century. (dead sea scroll) Shows no corruption as the Muslim claimed. So, what so important about Koran, when even Muhammad himself need to reference to Bible?
Isa was born without a father (spiritual birth), he is was sinless, Isa shall come and judge the world again. Muhammad himself said so. So, why don't follow the teaching of Isa? Which is the Bible?
God had send Muhammad to unite the land of idoltary, to worship him alone. Muhammad had said that Isa is Almasih, and the Kalimatulia. . . Tell me, why not be obedient, as a right Muslim should be, to read the Ingil, the Gospel, the teaching of Isa.
Why not be a good Muslimto follow the teaching of Isa? Why? Do you really understand the teaching of Koran? Teaching of Muhammad?
I don't think so.

I think they just don't care, they're not interested. They think that Islam and all other religions except their own are false and don't want to learn about them.
Some Christians (not all though) also only want to hear bad stuff about other religions so that they can try to make Christianity look better than everything else and give their own ego a boost for following the "correct" religion (according to them). They can't be bothered to learn the good stuff or as much as get basic knowledge about other religions. The little they know is usually biased information or misconceptions they spread among themselves rather than facts learned from a reliable source.

I have no problem with the Arabic use of the word "Allah" - Melkite and Maronite Christians also use this word.
However, you have to understand that Islamic religious claims about being founded by Adam and Abraham have no religious meaning to us. No disrespect intended, but historically... or rather secularly... Islam does not predate the 6th century or the Arabian merchant who founded it.
In our religious traditions, Moses, the prophets of Israel and Jesus never heard this Arabic word for "submission" (Islam) uttered at any point during their Earthly lives. None of them ever uttered or heard the Shahada. None of them ever made the Hajj or thought to.
And yes, for us, since the Quran is not a scripture for us, we would consider it to have its source in Mohammed, and do not consider it to be divinely sourced.
I don't like to be that blunt, of course. But it should be obvious - if we accepted all these claims we'd be muslims. And clearly, we're not.

I know the truth about Islam. The truth is it descended from Ishmael who lost the inheritance yet was promised that he would be a great nation but always fight with Isaac. That's why we don't ever expect peace between Islamists (or Ishmaelites) and Israel. It is also against the spirit of Christ and we recognize Muhammad as a false prophet. It does not exhalt Jesus Christ therefore we know it is not of the spirit of truth. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh who dwelt among us. He was and is DEITY. The Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world. Jesus IS the resurrection and conquered death, hell and the grave. We are confident and full of joy and assurance of the real presence of Jesus in our hearts and lives and nothing can substitute for that experience since it's so wonderful. The name of Jesus saves us, heals us, comforts us, and is the way, the truth and the life. There is no other name under heaven given unto men whereby we must be saved. Thank God for His Son Jesus whose precious blood cleanses from all sins and brings deliverance to the captives, sight to the blind, and healing of the body and spirit. I am English speaking so use God or one of His names.

You speak of "true" Islam
I'm assumuing the "false Islam" would be the radicals that keep blowing people and themselves up?
When you help us take a stand against the "false" Islam I'll be more willing to walk by your side and call you friend. Right now, I don't see this happening but hopefully it will soon

I believe Islam is not the true religion. Therefore I don't give it is proper. I tolerate it as I'm sure they tolerate me and my religion.
In 1400 people still thought the world was flat. Now we know the difference. Maybe there is still time for the followers of Islam?

Friend, a book that was written 400 years after Jesus Christ, is not worth 2 cents, God laid out his plan of salvation way before Mohhamed , & God changes not, I do read other books, But when I found out it does not line up with Scriptures, then it is time to lay it down.
