That depends on how you drive.

The Camry has better fit and finish, but a softer ride and less handling capabilities. Toyota aims the Camry at the family grocery-getter segment of the market.

The Altima is a bit coarser in ride and finish, but beats the Camry in acceleration, handling and braking. Nissan aims the Altima at a market segment the is about ten years younger than the Camry.

Taking the family to Disney World? Camry. Want to bury the speedo on a twisty road? Altima.

I would go for the Nissan, but I always go for the underdog(toyota being the second biggest car company in the world).

Toyota is far better for the long haul. Although it is an ugly attempt at toyota try to bring a little style into their lineup.
